Matt is an award-winning Production Designer & Art Director. His work began in Detroit with photography, documentary, and commercial production, and has since focused on film & television after making the move to Chicago.
Matt won the Art Director’s Guild Award in 2024 for the series Reservation Dogs, alongside Production Designer Brandon Tonner-Connolly & Set Decorator Tafv Sampson (Best Half Hour Single-Camera Series). He’s most recently worked with Production Designer Jessie Haddad on the new Hulu series Deli Boys.
He’s also worked as the Co-Designer for Adam Salky’s Netflix thriller Intrusion, Supervising Art Director for Amazon’s sci-fi series Night Sky, and Art Director for Josh Ruben’s hit horror-comedy Werewolves Within.
He’s a proud member of the Art Director’s Guild (IATSE Local 800), Chicago Studio Mechanics (IATSE Local 476) and the Production Designer’s Collective. When Matt isn’t working, he’s taking pictures, writing, goofing off with his kids, and finally learning how to cook.
